VARTY Family

My earliest ancestor in Canada was Thomas VARTY, U.E.. He had two land grants here in Ernestown Township, Lenox and Addington County in the 1790's. He must have moved to Percy Township as I have a copy of a bill of sale for this land dated 1815. At that time it lists his address as Percy Township. I have no other information except there were VARTY's in that area on early census (prior to 1851) records. One married a ROBERTSON (or ROBINSON), also U.E. in this area.

There is quite a large Varty file that someone has on the internet.
