WERDEN Family
Nelson WERDEN and his wife, Jane, nee OUELLETT/WILLETT, lived in Brighton in 1836 during the birth of their son, Wm Henry WERDEN. Eight of the fourteen children known to this couple are Edward, b. 1825, Angeline, b. 1829, David, b. 1831, Alonzo, b. 1834, Melissa, b. 1839, Henry,b. abt 1843, and Mary Jane, b. 1844. Many ORSER cousins lived in Murray and Cramahe. The WERDEN family moved to Reach, Ontario County in time for the 1851 census, and to Michigan in time for the 1860 US MI census.
