The 1846-47 Ontario County directory is an extremely valuable resource for locating the exact location of your ancestors, especially those in the townships, where Concession and Lot number are given. Town and village directories usually show street addresses. Examination of these directories often gives valuable clues as to family relationships, where properties are close to each other.
Land registry records for individual properties may be available. Land registry records contain valuable information, particularily arrival/departure dates for your ancestors.
