The 1887 Victoria County directory is an extremely valuable resource for locating the exact location of your ancestors, especially those in the townships, where Concession and Lot number are given. Examination of these directories often gives valuable clues as to family relationships, where properties are close to each other.
Townships with your pioneer ancestors names and locations recorded include Bexley, Carden, Dalton, Digby, Eldon, Emily, Fenelon, Laxton, Longford, Mariposa, Ops, Somerville and Verulam.
Land registry records for individual properties may be available. Land registry records contain valuable information, particularily arrival/departure dates for your ancestors.
